Acrylic on Canvas
This abstract grid was influenced by Ruple's seven days by his grandfather's bedside. Col. Tom Ruple suffered a stroke and the artist sat by his side every night for his final week. After returning to normal life Ruple painted this. Layers of rough color were stacked on eachother, much like a tally calendar, or hospital beds. Lastly the canvas is covered by a layer of white because despite his work that week he got nothing in terms of his grandfathers survival.
